High School Youth Group
The RLC High School Youth Group consists of teens ranging from 8th to 12th grade - and friends are always welcome! Our group meets usually once or twice a month for discussions and activities. The kids join together with Pastor Mary to discuss a wide range of topics pertaining to their lives and the challenges they are faced with. It gives them a comfortable place to ask questions, discuss how they live their faith and join together in prayer.
We also love sharing time together just having fun. This past year we went inntertubing at Sunburst Ski Hill, intertubing down the Wisconsin River, went to a haunted house/corn maze, had a lock-in at church watching movies, playing games, snacking and met for pizza while watching the movie "To Save a Life". We also attended plays of which 2 of our kids had parts: Anna N. in Grease and Zach O. in U Bug Me. Our group will be attending the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans this coming summer so we are busy planning and fund raising for this special event. We have 3 adult chaperones and 8 kids committed to this trip. Our fund raising efforts have consisted of car washes, soup suppers, Wisconsin Products fund raiser, Parish Hall floor and paint project and there will be more to come! We may be small in numbers but we are huge in spirit! Faith, Friendship and Fun.
