Pr. Matt joined the Resurrection family in January of 2025, and has a deep passion for making sure the good news we celebrate on Sunday mornings is translated into the everyday lives of the entire community!
He was born and raised in hottest part of Arizona, but has gotten used to the midwest winters! Growing up in Arizona means he understands that all churches, and all community leaders, have to work together for the good of everyone. (Most folks don’t realize that in rural Arizona, there’s only one of every denomination’s church in each town, so everyone simply has to work together!)
Pr. Matt loves racquetball, tacos, a good beer, rich conversations and ridiculous comedies. More than anything else, he wants to make sure that the joy, hope, and unbounded love of God flows to everyone, regardless of their church or denominational history.
His wife Jessica is also a pastor, and serves with the people of Lutheran Church of
the Living Christ in Germantown. Together, they have two children they are very
proud of; Charissa & Lucas.
